Volunteer's Story: Carolin, Germany   

I am really happy to had the oppurtunity to work in the Minhang kindergarten in Shanghai during January. I was a great experience to see a (from the German perspective) different way of educating little children. I gave three English lessons per day and in the afternoon I had time to prepare for the next day. I sang a lot with the kids (f.i. Old Mc Donald) in order to train vocabulary but also to have fun with them. My son Friedrich who is 18 months right now was in the group of the youngest children each day and he loved it (he loved all: the meal, painting, the garden, and the teachers!).
